The Catenian Association  Kidderminster and District Circle No: 309

We are an association of Catholic laymen who are committed to their faith, their families, to those in need and to each other. Our primary purpose is to develop our network of friends, enhancing our family life, strengthening our faith and sustaining us in difficult times. Our friendships are developed through meeting monthly We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the Wharton Park Golf & Country Club on the outskirts of Kidderminster. We follow this with a meal and a chance to socialise. We welcome visitors from other circles, and also visitors who are interested in learning more about the Catenian. In addition to our monthly Circle meeting, we hold activities for members and their families: meals together, barbecues, picnics, visits to the theatre and sporting events.

Charitable work

Although we are not primarily a fund-raising association, we do support good causes. Each year the President of the Circle nominates a charity and the money that we raise during the year are donate to that charity.

Our President for 2024/25 Ian Reed is raising funds for Royal British Legion, working to provide lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.

From providing expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life.

We also support a number of events for young people.

Public speaking competitions with annual regional and national events.

Financial grant made to assist a young Catholic who wishes to undertake some individual project by volunteering to do something wonderful for someone else.
